Mechanical Ventilation: Medical Air is utilized as a carrier gas to power respirators, providing essential respiratory assistance in anesthesia, resuscitation, ventilation, and isolette environmental control.
Nebulization: In aerosol therapies, Medical Air acts as a gas vector for delivering inhaled medications when supplemental oxygen is not necessary.
Hyperbaric Chambers: This therapy involves patients entering a pressurized chamber to breathe pure oxygen at air pressure levels 1.5 to 3 times higher than normal. The process aims to saturate the blood with oxygen, promoting tissue repair and restoring optimal body function.
Patients with sensitive respiratory systems, such as neonates or those with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), are particularly vulnerable to oxygen toxicity.
