Argon (Ar)
Hospitals utilize argon gas in both its pure state and as part of various mixtures for analytical purposes and quality assurance protocols.
“We provide argon and argon gas blends in multiple capacities and grades to meet your analytical and quality verification requirements.”
Applications
Argon (Ar) is a transparent, scentless, non-reactive gas. Being an atmospheric element, it can be extracted through air separation. Argon serves in its pure state or in combinations within hospital settings for analytical processes and quality verification. More specifically, argon functions as plasma medium in Inductive Coupled Plasma (ICP) emission spectrometry, as a protective gas in Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (GFAAS), and as a transport gas in gas chromatography for various detection systems.
Other applications
- Quenching medium (pure or combined with methane)
- Baseline, diluting and carrier gas for analytical procedures
- Cryoablation
